Brian Paul Fruechtenicht, owner and founder of Dynamic Drumming, holds a BA and MM in music. He has majored twice in percussion performance. Once from CSU, Chico ('97), and once from the University of North Texas ('00). Brian loves and enjoys all styles of music. He has studied music from other countries including India, Cuba, Brazil, Jamaica, and Africa. He has been part of many different percussion musical ensembles including steel band, drumline, marimba ensembles, and jazz groups. He has twice performed a solo public recital, and has gigged all over San Francisco including a performance at the Great American Music Hall. Brian has taught elementary music classes (3rd-6th graders) at Creative Arts Charter School in San Francisco. He has worked with special ed. students in music at Challenge to Learning Highschool in San Francisco. Brian has taught drumline students after graduating from highschool in an award winning drumline (Fred C. Beyer). Brian also taught undergraduate percussion majors snare drum and marimba as a graduate student at the University of North Texas ('97-'00) in Denton, TX. Brian has studied drumset with big band great Ed Soph, and also traveled to Marin to take a lesson with Harold Jones (Count Basie drummer). Since moving to San Francisco, Brian has taught some 300 music students!
